ABSTRACT
Aim:
Background: Infection of Trichomonas vaginalis commonly connected with Sexually transmitted disease, additionally, to be ordinary sign of "high- risk sexual behavior". The nurses have a crucial part in the protection from these diseases, through giving careful information as treat, prevent, and possibly complicated, nurses were forced to be a role in the resolution, some statistics referred to that. Aims: This study included implementing an educational program to evaluate and promote nurses’ knowledge of the trichomoniasis disease which caused by Trichomonas vaginalis parasite.

Material and methods:
Materials and methods: By 100 randomly samples of nurses working in different units in Al-Zahraa Hospital - Najaf City, Iraq. This semi-experimental study was performed. The study began from December 2023 until April 2024. The study included a sample of different ages, gender and experience, working in different units in the hospital, married and unmarried, and living in the urban and the rural.

Results:
Results: The results show the total rating of sample knowledge concerning Trichomoniasis in primary test was a moderate with mean (0.57) and the mean of next test was a good (0.84), also the results observe a highly significant difference (P <0.01) between pre-test and post-test assessments. In addition, according to their Socio-Demographic Characteristics the study revealed, the groups' Knowledge non important difference in the next test.

Conclusions:
Conclusion: This study concluded that there is an improvement in the knowledge after the program for all nurses.
